The tender is hand- and air-braked and carries about 24 litres of water and approximately 24 kilograms of coal. Its chassis is fully suspended and the brake pressure is applied in a ratio of ⅔ on the front axle and ⅓ on the rear axle.

The four connections at the front take tubes for water, main- and brake-pressure as well as an optional output for the locomotive’s brake. The air brake is not yet installed on the locomotive but could be in the future.
